Location

Fraser Research Institute is located close to the center of Princeton and a few minutes walk from the Engineering and Computer Science Departments of Princeton University. It has several good eating establishments in its immediate vicinity and many others just a few minutes walk away. One of the area’s best ice-cream parlors is across the street.

Princeton is a small town where people greet each other on the street, where pedestrians have right of way at crosswalks, and where it is safe and pleasant to walk the streets after dark.

Princeton is home to a wide range of athletic, social and cultural activities most of which are within walking distance of Fraser Research. In addition, non-university people may take out a three-month membership at the University Gymnasium.

Graduate students and faculty who leave town during the summer months for internships, research and vacations often like to rent their houses and apartments. As a result, although it is not abundant, summer accommodation seems to be reasonably easy to find.

NJ Transit busses serve the area with routes that include the local malls. It is an easy walk to the Princeton train station, and thus by way of the DNKY shuttle, to Princeton Junction where NJ Transit and Amtrak trains may be taken to Newark Airport, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
